Got this email from Magix, "free welcome gift"

Got this e-mail and I can't tell if it's just a general e-mail for Magix or because I have Vegas Pro. It seems to want some kind of audio software besides Vegas in order to use these add-ons. I don't understand it at all. Is there a way to plug in the below pictured into Vegas pro or do I need to have some other audio stuff as add-ons? I'm really new to this so the audio plugins do they work on Vegas? Didn't look like it would work when I clicked learn more.

If they are VST plug-ins, they should work in Vegas. I do not know if they are any better than the restoration tools that are included with Sound Forge, if you have it.

Yes, the email came from Boris FX and it is for a couple of free tools from CrumplePop.

Now, if they gave Wind Remover, I would download.

@rraud I do have Soundforger, never used it, but does it have a wind remover?

Not specifically but s HPF ( EQ high pass filter) can attenuate wind noise depending on the severity I use the free 7Q VST EQ a lot which has 7 bands of EQ and separate high pass and low pass filters. A multi-band compressor or dynamic EQ can also work The new A.I. tools work well but most ain’t free .. Rx Advanced snd SpectraLayers Pro for instance However SLP is included with the Sound Force Suite version and IMO is worth the cost of the upgrade alone.

I've been using the built-in efx_VocalStrip effect to reduce wind noise.
