Got to vent a bit about Magix and Vegas

I'm an old timer with Vegas 9 Pro and Movie Studio 9. I've been thinking about updating now that I have a new computer. My first stop was here looking at the lineup for Vegas.

But, it seems to me Vegas products are pretty much "self-serve".

Sure, these forums are great, but when it comes to getting help directly from Magix, it's non-existent. Both my email and trying to call on the phone is a waste of time (does the phone just ring in an empty office in a building in the middle of nowhere?). For comparison, I was able to get hold of someone (both sales and tech) within 2 minutes using either "chat" or "phone", when I was inquiring about Adobe Premiere Elements.

I still like the features and the GUI for Vegas programs, but from time to time you need a bit of help. The aggravating thing, is that I can't even get past the purchasing process.

With all the competition in NLE's: (DiVinci Resolve, Premiere...etc), to me, this apparent lack of customer support, is a huge yellow flag. That's too bad, since I think it should be part of a product feature set.

I need some serious convincing to stay with Magix Vegas NLE's

I'm very new to VMS but not to NLE's. You say you're an old timer with vms and vp so surly you know much more then I, so I wonder what kind of help you need from Magix? You know much more than any support guy who edit nothing in his life.

VMS and VP are far from perfect and this is what is and will be. You think DiVinci Resolve, Premiere are perfect than why you waste your time with magix?
