However, Vegas 7 now supports the ability to USE Cinescore as a plugin. Maybe this is where the confusion has arisen - dunno? That and the two items are very close to each other spelling-wise.
does that mean in Vegas 6 you needed HD Connect but since you got Vegas 7 - you find you really don't ?
And how complex are the timelines you work on? (at the top end) - I know it hasn't been too long that you've had Vegas 7, but have you tried four and five video track edits? Color corrections? Slo motions?
This BTW is in no way a challenge! I'm trying to decide which route to go in a large HD project.
Many thanx in advance - [Experience Beats Theory Everytime]
I did mean Cineform. I have a FX1 but I will be downsampling to DV until the new wave of large capacity discs and recorders come down it price. I do want to practice working with HD to get my feet wet.
Vic, this isn't scientific, but my early tests show that going directly into Vegas from the capture utlitiy, then editing the captured events on the timeline doesn't require me to use Cineform for capture. The timeline seems to be very responsive-----equal to when I captured usind Capture HD. I did some basic corections and I get very decent preview frame rates. I'm very impressed.
