GPU on/off affects ( some ) pan/crop positions

Hi all,

so I ran into a bit of a surprise. Still on my large compositing project, I have a scene where handpainted letters appear one by one in 2 different rows, each letter has its separate track, and the positioning is all done at event level, not track level. They were all aligned well and all was good. ( pic 1 ) Upon turning GPU off to render, I noticed some letters were suddenly misaligned and had changed their positions. ( pic 2 ) Unfortunaltely, I noticed it only when watching the rendered file. The first time it happened , there were more letters out of place than on pic 2. I double checked for rogue keyframes etc etc, all is clean.

OK, so I turned GPU on again in order to further work on the project and realign the letters. All was OK, I saved again, but when I turned GPU off again to render...same thing, slightly different changed this time, seemingly rather randomly misaligned again, also different letters.

I can reproduce it every time. Has anyone seen this before? It certainly seems like a bug.

I haven't experienced anything like this, most likely we are not using the same GPU or system. But considering you have had other issues recently with the GPU on/off, perhaps doing a full reset will flush out some of the issues. You have been taxing Vegas with your complex project and perhaps some of the cached application data is starting to cause tricks.

In another project I had strange artifact after turning GPU off. Moving an effect BEFORE pan/crop and moving back to it's place solved then the problem. It was another problem, which I just can't describe now. I'm not saying that will help you, just something to try...
