Graphic card not being recgonized anymore

When I first installed my Movie Studio 13 Suite my GeForce GTX 745 graphics card showed up fine. Now I've I noticed one of my videos wasn't playing back correctly so I followed the preference setup steps and when I got to the VIDEO tab and tried to change "GPU acceleration of video processing from 'OFF' to the name of my video card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745) it doesn't show up anymore. Just says 'OFF"! Any idea as to what may have happened?

I am using Sony Movie Studio 13 Suite and running it on a DELL XPS 8700 . I downloaded the latest build 943 since the initial installation. Any chance that has anything to do with this?

Have you gone to the nvidia site and ensured you have the latest driver for your GTX 745 card?

I've got a GTX750 and VMS13 does not recognize the GPU. From various other posts here and in the Pro forum it seems that the Vegas developers have simply not updated the program's codecs to support the newer nVidia GPUs.

That's one reason I'm seriously considering switching to PowerDirector. When rendering 2K or 4K video it leaves VMS in the dust.

Well ..... you did it again Steve! :-)
It worked. I thought I had the latest driver as I had downloaded one back in Nov or Dec and was at version 332.66. I went back to their site yesterday and I see they had version 347.25 so I downloaded and installed that version and now my NVIDIA card shows up AGAIN !!!

Again, Thanks you so much for all your help. Now if only I can get Windows 8.1 and SMS to recognize my ZOOM H1 USB connected Mic.
