graphic opacity

I have an animated background that loops. Works fine. I have menus, submenus, clip links, etc. Everything so far works great.

Ok. Now the problem. I made an extra graphic in Photoshop of a person cut out from the original graphic background and made an alpha channel hoping dvd architect could see the alpha channel and properly key or display it.
I get this white line around the cut out image. I've tried no alpha key, alpha key, saved in psd, pict, tga, etc. Nothing works.

Can DVD A take graphics with alpha channel? If not, how do I insert a graphic that has had background cut out?

Thanks. Sorry for confusing long post.

Steve,

Make a PSD with a transparent BG. You might have to tweak settings a bit to get rid of "white lines," but DVDA2 willn recognize the transparency in a PSD file. Another option would be to insert the graphic into your veg file for the menu and re-render it.

Use an alpha channel for the transparency and save it as a PNG. This is how most of the buttons that come with DVDA are...

Alterntatively, you could pick a background color and save it as a GIF, but a PNG will look much better.

Both ideas worked. The PNG file works best. Thanks guys.
