Graphics card and movie studio 12 64bit

Hi im using a amd radeon 6800 series graphics card with 1gb of memory and I bought sony movie studio 12 suite 64 bit.
When I go to options>preferences>video, the GPU acceleration of video processing I only have two options to choose from off or advanced micro devices,inc.(barts).
As my graphics card is not showing up does this mean its to old to use the gpu acceleration ?

I have updated my graphics card to the latest version and updated sony movie studio to the latest version.

It does appear the card does not include the features that would enable GPU acceleration.

As far as I know, only CUDA enabled nvidia cards are supported. I bought one for 42 euro ( msi n520gt). Don't worry too much about this: the gpu only affects 10-20 per cent of rendering time. Your main cpu is the main factor when it comes to rendering times.
