Great DVD Spot! How did you get Macrovision?

I would like to include this on some of my dvd projects (eg dance recitals) DVD burners are getting so cheap these days. Is it worth the minimum $25 that I am getting per DVD?

No.
In fact, if it wasn't for one of our distributors more or less requiring it, we'd drop it altogether. A jerk already has ripped the DVD Workshop DVD and posted part of it to the web, we were able to get the ISP to take it down...Macrovision is more or less a rip off at this point. We have it for marketing reasons, and it's damned expensive.

Great DVD menu, you do that in DVDA (stupid question), How without the standard graphic buttons? I sell a dvda course.

DVD Architect 2 can allow anything to mask, link, and end action to other menus. The menus are actually created in Vegas, masks and all. We cover this fairly extensively in the VASST trainings if you're anywhere near Phoenix, Orlando, Atlanta, Toronto, Honolulu, Seattle. (those are the last stops left on the tour)

Yes, we offer a section in the training on DVDArchitect. We also have a DVD coming on DVD Architect as well, along with the other Vegas training series DVDs. (of which the FASST disc is not a part of)
The copyright notice we use is just text laid over a clip from the Artbeats "Incarcerated" libraries. We thought it was kinda unique too.

I would like to see this DVD menu also. I own DVDA2 but usually build in Encore DVD because of its flexibility with photoshop. Naturally I will use VEGAS to edit any video, ie compositing layers and such, then use this in Encore. I would LOVE to get DVDA2 to treat me as good as EncoreDVD. I'd fall in Love the way I have with VEGAS. (proud user since VEGAS video/audio)

I don't care much for Encore. As you may be aware, I wrote a book on Encore 1.5....so I know the app intimately.
As far as how we got Macrovision and CSS, the bigger question should be how I got a DVD9....
We authored this in DVD Studio Pro 2 from Apple. Everything was rendered, all menus created in Vegas, so all that was done was using DVDSP for linking and DLT output, plus the additional goodies. Our workflow is that if it's a DVD 5, and very few VASST DVDs are, then we do the work in DVD Architect. If we are doing a DVD9, it goes over the network to my G5. When Architect supports DVD9, then we'll do everything in Architect. Macrovision flags can usually be inserted at the replicator too, if you send them an ISO on a hard drive.
