green screen when recording

I am trying to use sony Screenblast movie studio to capture some of my old VHS movies onto my hard drive. I am using a All-in-wonder 9600xt GC plug in to my VHS. The capture window comes up with the movie playing with sound. I click record and when I am finished the end result clip plays with a green mask over the movie. I can hear the sound but there is a green screen.

What file format are you capturing to and what codec are you saving it as?

I'm not sure if All-in-Wonder has a proprietary capture codec but, if possible, save it as an MJPEG AVI.

If these movies are commercial feature films (you weren't specific) the copy protection will cause the video to be green only while the audio will come through.
