Green Skateboards

My son and I watched an awesome skateboard video. About 6 guys skateboarding, ramps, jumps, group twists. with all the skateboards taken OUT...

What was even more amazing was they were panning the camera too.

We are going to try it tomorrow but using just green skateboards and 'simulated' panning.

I think they filmed everything TWICE using perfectly timed motorized mounts for the cameras. Once with skateboarders and green skateboards and then again with no one. A simple green screen overlay and hey presto, the boards disappear. They had to manually touch up I'm sure where 2 skateboarders crossed each other.

The end effect was awesome. Watch this space. it's given us some great ideas....

Anyone seen anything like this...

No skateboards? weird... the only place i saw this is in Tony Hawks pro sk8er 4 for the playstation 2.

Videogame systems are great to have around when you gotta dedicate your computer to rendering... such a great way to waste time!

Bump!!

I would really like to see this video. Do you happen to know which company put it out?

Without sounding redundant, what video was it? I would love to see this video. Can you give the skate company that produced this?

THanks.

I did not saw that video, but sound very simple. If filmed in studio the solid background color was in use and latter keyed out. If filmed on location(skatepark, street) then location have to be evaulated for colors. The skatebords can be painted in any solid color and keyed out latter on. In Vegas you cam key out any color and "fine tune".
The effect is great.
