Greenscreen effect ruined TV static effect color scheme?

teamspeak3user wrote on 3/26/2021, 7:42 AM

So, to transition between scenes I use an effect in editing: TV no signal +sound [ ] - when it shows the different color TV error and I was editing some green screen effect on the layer above it. The whole bottom track is affected as far as I know. Did I accidentally click on some button I didn't know existed? How to fix it and restore the original colors and what is causing it?

As far as I can see the whole project is affected by this. Gray colors are darker. Blue colors are displayed as black.

Like I have no clue what happened but it totally ruined my amazing workflow I had today. It must be some shortcut close to Ctrl + C / V / Z or the buttons: S or Video FC Chroma keyer. I googled and I can't find anyone with this issue, I don't even know what to google properly.

Did you change a blending/compositing mode on one of the tracks by accident?

What's on your Video Output FX? Is there a LUT?

@adis-a3097 point it out... looks like you probably accidentally put something in the Video OutputFX.

No, all my video tracks had: "source alpha" selected, but my Compositing mode button was missing. So It's nice that at least I noticed that.

OMG! Thank you a lot. I didn't even know that can occur. I must have accidentally dragged ... like how do you achieve this? Drag the Chroma Keyer video FX over the Video Preview or how? But yes I had Chroma Keyer check boxed Video Output FX.
By the way what is a "LUT". Thanks.

Thanks for this comment too. I didn't originally see the button being circled around. :D

Yup, you can drag/drop video effects on video events, video tracks and master video track (just drop it on preview window). Gotta be careful!

LUT? It's an acronym. 😆

Joking. Here you go:

Glad you find out!

Yes, Video FX can be put in 4 'step':

  • Media FX (right click in the event clip> MediaFX)
  • Event FX (usual drag n drop video effects to the clips)
  • Track FX (drag n drop video effect to track (that's on the left side)
  • Video Output FX (that's the icon on the video preview tab, or drag-n-drop to video preview)
