Grouped Events

I use event grouping mainly when I have little teensy edits that need to stick together so that I don't accidentally move around just part of an edited portion. I like grouping for this but I wish there was some indication visually for grouped events on the timeline. A little colored flag in the corner? Slight transparent coloration over grouped events? Something so that when you hit G or U you have visual feedback of what is grouped or ungrouped. Anyone else like to have something like that?

Currently, a group is highlighted with light-blue frame only when selected; it'd be nice if just hovering the cursor over events activated this (and perhaps others) indicator.

Interesting, I never noticed this before. Pretty subtle stuff. I would say this could work if it was slightly more prominent (different color as light blue doesn't show up very will IMO) and it just stayed on all the time to show grouped events.

Is that a new feature in version 9? I don't see it in 8.

It works in 8 but it is pretty subtle and you can only see it on a group event when it is selected.

I checked carefully with a magdefying glass in version 8. I see an outline in the track header color around just the event selected, not the whole group, and it's the same on any event whether it's part of a group or not.

You can take a look at these screen grabs from V8

Grouped (notice the thin blue outline around video and audio events)

Ungrouped (now only the one video event selected has a thin blue outline)
