Hey all. I searched the forum some and couldn't find a clear answer and I also submitted a support ticket to SCS but apparently they consider answering those optional.
I had an NVIDIA GTX570 GPU in my system until just recently. With CUDA enabled, it sped up video rendering times in Movie Studio Platinum 12 substantially. I replaced that card with a GTX770 and even though the card appears as available to use with CUDA and is enabled, it's not being utilised at all during rendering. As a result, it's relying entirely on CPU again and render times are taking substantially longer.
Is it normal for newer GPUs to not be supported in Movie Studio for a time and if so, is it normal for it to still be selectable and for GPU assisted functions to still properly initialise in the application? I find it odd that MSP specific support would have to be added as it's CUDA is usually handled through the driver and this same version worked fine with my GTX570.
Can anyone provide any clarification for me? Thanks!
