SO I have created my first DVD. First irritation the DVDAS would not see my double layer drive. No problem I used Nero.

Next the background picture of my menu was larger than the TV screen so some of it was hidden. This also pushed my Thumbnail right to the corner edge of the TV. Is this summit to do with stretch piccy?

I had an audio jittering half way through playback for a few seconds.

I rendered in mpeg2 PAL DV
I noticed a very slight sort of dark scan lines slowly going f4rom top to bottom of the screen.
I am going to do my next project in PAL Standard maybe this will fix it.

I also notice in DVDAS that the thumbnail is blurred over until you select it. In my mind this should happen when you move over it (i.e. the other way around), is there anything you can do about this?

No, this is normal behavior. TVs always crop a little bit (usually <10%) off the edges. This is called overscan. That is why you have a "safe area." Anything in the safe area is usually visible - anything outside is usually cropped.

Check out the Options menu in DVDAS. There is an option to show safe areas.
