Handling Multiple Audio Streams

Hi Everyone - I'm a new user just learning V8. I have a question regarding the audio streams in my camcorder's source files.

The video files coming off my Sony HDR-SR7 are MTS files and have the following properties:

General
Name: 00000.MTS
Folder: D:\Movies\VegasTest1
Type: MPEG-2 Transport Stream
Size: 17.86 MB (18,284,544 bytes)
Created: Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 8:28:28 PM

Attributes: Archive

Streams
Video: 00:00:23.523, 29.970 fps interlaced, 1440x1080x12, AVC
Audio 1: 00:00:23.523, 48,000 Hz, 5.1 Surround (stereo downmix), Dolby AC-3
Audio 2: 00:00:23.523, 48,000 Hz, 5.1 Surround, Dolby AC-3

I'm able to bring these files into V8 and render the project as a Sony AVC type, creating a nice MT2S file with both the stereo downmix and the Dolby AC-3 audio streams present.

Now, when I bring this file into DVD Architect 5.0 and get ready to create a Blu-Ray Disc the system only allows me to select one of the two audio streams.

I had thought I could add both the stereo downmix stream and the 5.1 surround stream to th DVD, than add some selections to allow the viewer to pick which audio stream to play. Am I missing something?

Thanks In Advance - Kevin

Try adding a second audio track in your timeline prior to importing.

Of course with DVD-A, I've always found that I had to separate the video and audio tracks to make DVD-A do what I want it to. With standard def, I've done that before and had a DVD with an AC3 5.1 (with rear center matrixed) track and a LPCM track.
