Hangs at Scanning for CD Devices

CDA 5.2 stand alone keeps freezing up when I go to record a CD. Window 7 tons of SONY software on same PC. Is this common problem?

Are you using latest version = 5.2d ?
obtain that at http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/cdarchitect

Are you using latest Drivers for CD device?

Also carefully read Release Notes, esp "Known Issues" section
