Win 7/64
Intel i5-2500K @ 3.30 GHz
8 gig ram
Radeon HD 5750
CCC 13.1
MSP v12 (DVD 334, updated to 1184)
QT 12.6
I've been using MSP for a while with no problems. Three days ago while experimenting with a small clip (2 min) trying different FX and transitions it started blacking out on preview and a warning that video drivers had stopped working. I was running AMD CCC 12.3 so updated to 13.4. I opened MSP and started the same clip and it froze after 3 seconds and stayed hung. After nothing changed for quite a while I tried to close the program and ended up doing a forced restart. Since then MSP hangs on splash screen at "Initializing GPU Accelerated video processing. I've done quite a few clean uninstall/install of MSP and no change. I reverted CCC back to 12.3 and then to 13.1 with no change. I've deleted Visuals c++ and reinstalled as recommended but no change. I sent an email to Sony and got the link to the "Microsoft Visual C++" in KB but I had already tried that. It seems there is still some kind of "link" to that small clip that gave the trouble and is not being deleted on uninstall. If I go into Appdata and check the install log for MSP, it says successful but if I try to open an MP4 file with MSP it says I must first install using DVD or download. I did try creating another user account w/admin rights and install MSP again but that didn't work either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
