Hangup/crash when uploading to youtube

ladyjaye wrote on 8/8/2010, 4:47 PM
I just switched from Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum to 10 and I now have issues with the direct upload of my videos to Youtube. Every other time or so, VMS simply hangs and stops responding while connecting to youtube and I have no choice than to reboot the software (and retry uploading my videos).

Anybody else has had that issue? Any idea on what to do to solve the problem (aside from simply rendering the files and uploading them directly on youtube instead of using the uploading option within VMS)?

I use a Dell with Pentium IV @ 2,8GHz, 2GB RAM and XP Pro SP3. Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT. Internet connection: high-speed DSL.

Thanks!

What format are you rendering to? YouTube seems to accept .mp4 format well.

The rendering is automatic, so it is in MP4.

I've checked the Event Observator tool, and this is what I've had:

Hanging application VegasMovieStudioPE100.exe, version 10.0.0.179, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

I don't know what is the next step to take. Any idea?

No one has an answer?

I have never had much luck with direct upload. I was never sure if it was my slow internet connection or what. I have found it more successful to render the project first and then log into YouTube and then upload it. I favor mp4 and wmv.

Delete your cookies and exceptions, enable them, and try again?

After fighting with the identical problem for quite long I discovered that two things may help: deactivating anti-vir (Avast! in my case) and deleting of chapter markers

Good advice, except that deactivating the antivir did not solve the issue and I don't use chapter markers. I mainly use Vegas Movie Studio to rip very short videos (ie. 30 seconds on average) for youtube.
