Thanks everyone!

So you know, I am now 25 years old. I first started using Sony Vegas when I was in high school, on one of the teacher's machines. One project became another and another, and eventually I won my own copy through a sony user's logo making contest (thanks Jay). That copy allowed me to get my own editing jobs, and from there I discovered these forums. With the help of this community, I was able to better explore the potential of Sony Vegas and wiggle up the learning curve much, much faster. These forums even contributed to my knowledge of HTML, CSS. All those little apps I've tried to write for us (Vegas Nights, VegBun, Vegasist) in PHP, C++, and AutoIt were the first applications I had learned to write - literally my training experience.

Come to think of it, my overall experience with Sony Vegas was what gave me such a dynamic resume in my interview with Liferay last month, which landed me a job as a front end developer! One could say that the direct influence of using Sony Vegas has been the most important piece of my career. So watch out ACID, here I come, someday.

So thanks Sony Vegas and thanks Forum Friends!

Happy 25th birthday! You've been a great addition to the vegas forum! Just don't tell us if you goto Canada and become a public employee passing out HD DVD newsletters at airports wearing old bed sheets, ;-) well maybe you should, we'll try to get you to a Sony training center or a VASST class to help to you recover! ;-)

Jonathan,

Fact is, I barely know who you are, a fellow member is a fellow member. So I read your thoughtful post here and checked out your site.

You're half my age, quadruple the talents in things tech - lol. (Maybe when i get around to redesigning my website and finally using some .css and Flash, I may pick your brains for some advice :)

Keep the brightness a-glowin'.
Happy B-Day!

Hey Jonathan

Birthday greetings
to a guy who has been a gift to us.

Funny how life can call us out
around the most inconsequential things
when all we are doing is following our bliss!

Sounds like you had a good First Quarter Century!

Better to pass a milestone than to pass a millstone...

With your enthusiasm I think you'll have a lot fun in the second quarter too... :O).
