Hard Drive/Media Player

I know these have gotten a mention before but couldn't find the previous threads. I'm going to be premiering the latest music video in about a week and believe I read about some kind of drive that you could copy the source file onto and playback on a TV or a projector. The vid is 1080 24p. So is there one that people are liking? And would it play an mxf if thats what I render as?

Any insight on which one to get, where to get one, and tips on using would be awesome.

MY WD media player is wonderful, but it won't play .mxf. As far as I know, none of them will. It will however play most everything else. 24p 1920x1080 is no problem, but the only HD output is HDMI. If you don't have an HDMI input on your projector, you could get one of http://www.consoleshop.com/product.php?productid=20586#votesthese[/link] so that you can plug it into the VGA input on your projector. I haven't got one so I'm not 100% sure it would work, but it should.

There is a new version of the WD TV Live media player out (just in the last few days - rumor has it Best Buy has them in stock for $119). New version includes DTS decode, Ethernet connectivity and some other features ... If you are thinking of getting one, check out the new version first !!
