I am trying to get an idea of which hardware to buy for my
new setup to improve my usage of vegas video. At the moment
I am using a ATI All in wonder pro with a older 8mm
camcorder. The 8mm camcorder means that there is only
200lines resolution.

Anyone got suggestions on the best capture card to use with
Vegas Video and do I need to go to DV or is Digital 8 OK
for resolution.

I am using the Pyro 1394 card.
I have used it with Vegas, Ulead Media Studio and the Beta
Premiere 6.0. It worked with all these programs.
AS far as I know, the 1394 transfer is digital so there
should not be much differences between cards.
The pryo is also a cheap card. You can get it for US$70
with bundled software.
