Looking for suggestions on building a dedicated killer pc. I am planning to build a dual P4 with dual Matrox Parhelia cards to set up four screens and a monitor. I have three screens now and I want more. So I am really looking for suggestions on mother boards, video cards and audio cards to build the best machine I can. Any thoughts?

Where do you put your monitor speakers?? (Sorry, couldn't resist). ;-)

Actually use surround sound speakers to monitor and I use the subwoofer as a foot rest, works ok. I have used three 19" monitors for years and I can't live without them now. Three is ok but four would be better. I do a lot of graphics, video and audio and I can work much faster with multiple programs open. You can drag and drop between programs and open endless tool and edit windows. You should see my layout when I have Giga, Sonar, Vegas and Project 5 open at the same time.

Sounds incredible - I would really like that! In terms of a new system, if you've got the $, I would suggest looking into the new AMD Opteron processor. Even some die hard mac users are switching to this for their ProTools HD systems. Apparently it is extremely stable and of course its about the most powerful thing available right now.
