I'm curious about time factors and results for Vegas -> Main Concept -> DVD.
I don't have time to do software encodes (yes, BillyBoy, realtime is the only time I can afford) but am curious if there is a major difference between the Main Concept output from the timeline vs. Canopus Media Cruise Mpeg1/2 harware or the venerable dazzle. Last Christmas I tied up the PC for about four hours to make an MPEG2 source file to compare with the same file encoded through a Dazzle vias-video. THe client preferred the hardware version as there was no artefacting.
Has anyone done a side by side study and blind tested (as in DVDs)
