Has someone seen this problem...?

This is something strange that I encountered. Has someone seen this ??

When I render to an MPEG file and save it on e.g. my Desktop all is fine. Sound and picture is as expected.

The other day I rendered the SAME file to my "Video disk". (A separate hard disk on my computer) Now there is no sound in the rendered MPEG file!

All settings the same, just that the location of the saved file was not C: but my other drive.
Not a huge problem, but unexplanable ....<eirie Twilight Zone music in the background>

got exorcist? doesnt the file type change depending on which way you save it - I think ? Are ya sure its mpeg and the same type of mpeg? I thought it rendered into a wma or whatever (gee I think I need a white plastic sleeve like the NFL quarterbacks have to keep track of all these file types) . All I know is that I had a video file I stripped from a recording in the wmf -xyz#$% format from my pvr - worked it in vegas studio 4 - sounded okay while working with it but had a similar sound problem. I upgraded to the latest Vegas studio version and vualla! No more problem.

Of course you could always try cutting a potato in half, eat one half, bury the other half and walk over it every day while tossing salt over your shoulder.
