Was gonna try to wait until tomorrow to post this but just got in and am too wound up to go to sleep.

Big time Kudos to Spot, JR, and the other folks from VASST (Heath & Manny) - They put on a FREE three+ hour seminar on HDV tonight in New York.

If anyone ever has the chance to see any of the VASST roadshows you really need to go - These guys are extremely knowledgable and a couple of the friendliest guys I've ever met! Learned a whole bunch of stuff and not just about HDV.

Again - Thanks guys for a great session! - I learned LOTS and you can't beat free!

You can find out more about the "I Want My HDV" sessions at:

Yea, me too. ;-) Birdcat, it was really great talking with you and meeting the other folks who came. The great thing about HDV is that it’s new for all of us and so we’re all learning together. I can’t wait until tomorrow’s all day session. I’m especially exited because Heath McKnight, Lead Instructor from the Palm Beach Film School is going to share his experiences as an independent film maker with us. That along with Spot’s intimate knowledge of HDV and the Sony HVR-Z1U should make for an interesting day.

Thx Bruce, it was a fun session, and it was great to meet so many members of the different fora out there. We'll see some more of the community today as well.

Ditto, Bruce, truly virtuoso performance indeed. Glad I got a chance to be in town for the marathon after all.

Day One has proven to be a powerful incentive to sign up for Day Two full-day training, a must for anyone serious about staying on top of the HDV revolution. It's unreal that one gets 1.5 days jam-packed with all things HDV, featuring unique non-overlapping sessions, for such a nominal price. You definitely get your money worth literally and figuratively.

Learn from the industry pros and get all your questions answered 'on the spot' in a professional yet warm and informal atmosphere; check out all the toys and get - among other giveaways - a generous HDV-seminar $150 rebate coupon for the various Sony HDV products.

PS As luck would have it, a non-Vegas user won the V egas+DVD Architect suite drawing later in the day and promised he'd give Vegas a shot... provided he's got the time after testdriving his new HVR-A1U he picked up at B&H during the break :)
