Have anyone heard about Media 100 ?

Can this software run in a normal PC ? Or do I need special hardware ? Is it a good editing program ? How does it compare to Avid Xpress DV 3.5 or Vegas Video 3.0c ?

Media100 is not a software - it's a company selling different software solutions. Which certain one do you mean?

Media 100 is about to (or already has) release a DV, software only editor (I'm 99% sure about it being software only)... although it's their first 'prosumer' product. Runs around 2 grand-ish, as memory serves. I have yet to see a review, but I imagine that they'll be popping up shortly...

And, if you're looking for a higher end Media 100 than that, then yes, they're software/board solutions. Pretty nice, too!

Of course, they'd also set you back a nice chunk o' change, but who's counting?
