No. NewBlue is not out of business. I will say I have been on vacation and haven't been on the forums fo awhile. Also, the best place to get support is to contact support at newblueinc.com which will get much faster responses than a forum post would typically get. The plugins are not "standalone" so I'm not sure what you are stating there. On the screenshot you listed, check the "disable GPU" box to test it without using the GPU. However, I strongly recommend contacting NewBlue support directly.
I have been emailing with NB but after 1 email they have stopped responding. Basically I am not able to disable GPU in the program because it is asking to restart the Standalone, but I have nothing like that. This is what I have posted on various forums but nobody there knows either:
'Standalone' might not working such as in Elements etc... but it is useful for Titler Pro 4... it means you can run the plugin without any host application...
If you disable GPU acceleration in Vegas itself, you have to restart the program for the new settings to effect the next time you run the program. Have you tried that?
Yes; many times. In the thread I linked to, somebody posted a screenshot showing a NBFX plug-in (not sure which one) saying *Vegas itself* needs to be restarted. The one I get is saying "standalone" needs to be restarted.
I have been trying to solve this for weeks.
In reality it all works, but if doing a long render, say 5hrs of footage (50-80hrs rendering) the FX chain starts to break intermittently (as per the video posted). The whole FX chain is getting skipped.
I am suspecting the NBFX lens correction plug-in is the cause.
I am happy to disable all GPU acceleration everywhere because quite obviously Vegas cannot use my GTX750 and it just crashes it if enabled globally (under Preferences) when rendering.
Which version do you use? As already shown in the COW Forum, the App Manager should look like this: The build number is from the NewBlue Vegas Pro Complete-plugin, i have also installed
I don't know why mine doesn't. NBFX have simply stopped communicating. I will send them yet another copy of the email with a screenshot of my purchase order. They seem to think my account doesn't exist or some such.
Ok, i think you have NewBlue Essentials 3 Vol 2, right? If so, something is wrong with your installation Have you deinstalled the application and reinstalled?
Just to update everyone, an updated version is still being worked on to resolve all issues that have been reported. But, no, I do not yet have a timeframe for the update.
OK; I went to that URL, and WOW found copies of my emails to NBFX! So NBFX are receiving them but not replying to them.
What is this about?
There is nowhere on that site I could download a newer version?
I am Vegas Pro 13 build 453.
Yes - Essentials 3 Vol 2. I have just found their order confirmation (June 2016) and re-downloaded the install executable and it is the same one as before

This installation installs only DLLs, no standalone executables.
Thats right, you get the standalone only if you have a Titler application (see post of "set" above) Btw: For what is the mpkg file on your screenshot? Do you running a MAC? Did you runnin other applications from NewBlue on your PC? - Maybe it will help you to clean the regestry I have other applications (Titler, Filters) but getting only this popup:
sorry can't upload a file at this time, will try again later
I have no record of buying this (clicking on Purchase it asks for GBP90, not much but I don't need it; no idea what it does above the default titler) but maybe it came out of this which is the original pro 13 download
but have no idea where the 2nd one came from :) I did a google on the "MSPPS" one and it appears to something older, but I also have Studio Platinum 12 installed on this PC. I have not used it for a while (despite it being rock solid) because it won't run any lens correction plugins.
I have just logged into my NBFX account and downloaded yet another Essentials 3 Volume 2 and got the same one again!
MSPPS seemed to be Movie Studio Pro pack, maybe is this your problem. Try to deinstall all MSPPS applications. The mpkg file is for the MAC version of NewBlue Essentials
I uninstalled MSPPS. That feature did relate to the above Titler discussion - see this screenshot of the uninstall process (which removed hundreds of files)
Anyway, it gets quite interesting now! I started up MSP12 to make sure it still runs. It does. BUT look - the Lens Correction plug-in does show up in it!!!
That plug-in was stated to require Pro. So how does this work? If I had known it works in MSP12 I would have saved myself a huge amount of hassle, not to mention $200. I am rendering a movie with it now!
However, the issue, see above last screenshot, with the "disable GPU" checkboxes requiring "Standalone" to be restarted, is still there.
As a side issue, the Sony Timecode FX is there is MSP12 but is not there in Pro 13.
Just to make things even more interesting, I am unable to break MSP12 in the way Pro 13 breaks by playing other video
