How can I have a short video clip (no audio) loop in the menu? I have tried everything but it only seems to allow a still image then when clicked it will play. I have DVDarch 4.0.
Do you want to use this video as the menu's background (meaning, have it fill the whole screen), or do you already have a background you want to use and want this video to be shown at a smaller size?
To use it as a full background, right-click the menu, choose Set Background Media, and browse for your video. To make it loop, go to the Menu Page Properties window, select the End Action tab, and set Command to "Loop". If the video has an audio stream, you'll need to delete it from the menu's timeline.
To add it over the main background, right-click the menu, choose Insert Graphic, and browse for your video. To make it loop, select that video on the menu, go to the Graphics Properties window, select the Media tab, and set Style to "Animated."
Now I have another problem. For some reason when I burn the DVD and play it the video plays first full screen then goes to the menu. How do I stop this? Also how do you loop the video?
I figured out how to make it not play the video on FULL screen. I had to right click the menu section and select DVD start. Even though my menu video loops in my program it does not once I burn a DVD. Also when the main video ends it is not going back to the menu. Why is that?
Within DVD Architect, navigate into your main video (double-click it in the Project Overview window or right-click it and choose Navigate Into) and check the End Action tab of its Media Properties window. Command should be set to Link, and Destination should be set to the menu you want to display afterward (or just Most Recent Menu).
Regarding your menu video, "looping" for all menu objects is controlled by the settings for that menu -- Command on the menu's End Action property tab, and Menu Length on the menu's General property tab. You're not really looping the video individually -- you're looping the menu that that video is part of.
