DVDs are not high definition, Dash. By nature they're only 720x480 (or 720x576 on the PAL system).

BluRay discs can hold hi-def video.

I don't think there is a DVDA specific setting for HD VIdeo so could the "MainConcept MPEG-2" option and under the drop down and use "Blu-ray 1920x1080-50i, 25 Mbps video stream" or under Sony AVC try the "Blu-ray 1920x1080-50i, 16 Mbps video stream" or "Blu-ray 1920x1080-50i, 10 Mbps video stream" options.

When you start a new project in DVDA make sure you have "Blu-Ray Disk" for the "Disk type" and either AVC or MPEG-2 for the format type depending on what option you did the render as. The file should import fine - just drag and drop.
