HD Cache vs DV Constant Flow, Expert advice Please!!!

Last night I posted a request for unfo on what would be a good PC to build for DV editing, without overkill regarding specs, and $$$. I received three replies from:
mikkie, Marquat, and pb. THANKS TO ALL! ! !
I'm not clear about one reference. I was informed that I should be more concerned about a constant flow of video to the HD, rather than the size of the HD Cache, 2MB, or 8MB. SCSI being the best way to go. However, even SCSI drives have their own Cache; so, how is it possible to acheive a "Constant Flow" of video to any HD? ? ?
Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure what info the contant flow recommendation was coming from, but I do know that occiasionally as a hard drive heats up it will have to momentarily realign it's head. I would imagine that a larger cache would help prevent data interuption in this situation. Plus, I've seen a couple of good reviews praising the WD 120GB drive with 8MB cache. Apparently it's faster than the 2MB version and quieter than the IBM 8MB cache model of the same size.
