HD codecs coming with Vegas 8?

Hello

I shoot with a Canon XHG1 in HDV footage. AFfter initial edits and color correction I would like to create an HD 1080 formatted file to use in other products (i.e. After Effects, etc.)

Which Codec should I be using when rendering for HD 1080 file format?

I render to mpeg-2 HDV 1080 60i. If you really have the space & want to preserve as much quality when doing your FX, use uncompressed AVI. But again, the space required will be huge.

As a lossless intermediate codec to go back and forth between Vegas and After Effects, I normally use either HuffYUV or Lagarith. Both are free.

Unlike HuffYUV, Lagarith is available in both 32bit and 64bit builds. I'm using Lagarith a lot more than HuffYUV these days.
