HD Monitor Options in V6

I'm putting together an HD edit bay using Vegas 6 and I'm trying to focus on what my best monitor option is for HD, which will be my primary format from now on. I've seen several posts about using the 24" Dell LCD which is getting a lot of positive buzz right now, but wonder just how accurate such a setup would be. Can it be calibrated in any meaningful way, or is a CRT backup monitor the only way to know for sure what's really going on?

Also what would my options be for getting the HD signal to the LCD monitor? If I used the component outs from a BMD DeckLink card would that give me full realtime HD framerate and display the full interlacing (using CineForm codec), or would an LCD only show a progressive version of the signal? Does the HDLink box correct for this? I need to be able to color correct and also do 24p pulldown from 1080i (Sony Z1).

Thanks for any help with this!

Look at the Sony XBrites, replacing the 234 (which is what we have) as they are pretty impressive.
Given that most folks will be viewing HD on an LCD or rear projection system, using an LCD monitor is a good practice. A CRT is of course, better, but keep in mind the viewing audience, cost, and benefit.
You'd use component from the BD, and yes, you should see full framerate most of the time. You can't use CineForm at that point, it MUST be the YUV codec for the BMD card to accept the signal. Pulldown, etc are no problem.
You might even want to check out the BMD MultiBridge.

And search/read all the threads here on the Dell 2405.

So if I edit with CineForm intermediate and monitor straight out through a graphics card to the Dell 2405 would I get a high enough res picture (if I have a powerful enough PC), or would it be a much more compressed image? I must admit I'm a little unclear about what the intermediate file is doing probably because I haven't seen it in operation in person.
