HD .mov files - audio imports, but no video?

I've got .mov hd video files and when I put them on my Vegas 11 timeline all I get is audio, no video.

The files do play video in VLC Media Player

But audio only in Windows Media Player.

Any thouhgts would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a current version of QuickTime player installed?

If they are - for instance - XDCAM EX mp4s converted to movs by log&transfer on the Mac, they won't show picture in Vegas no matter what. OK, they might if you have the Quicktime's paid MPG2 component, but I haven't tested that.

Try to convert them (losslessly) to mxfs using Convergent Design FileConverter for Windows.
