HD output from Bluray without HDCP?

Is it possible to output self generated HD video from a consumer Bluray player (e.g. Sony BDP-S550) without being blocked by HDCP.
I need to input the video into a presentation mixer (Analog Way Diventix II) and sometimes I need to convert the signal to HD-SDI.
My first tests based on AVCHD disk format were not successful: when connected to a monitor with HDMI input the signal is o.k. but no output when I hook up a DVI scaler/converter from Gefen which outputs HDSDI.

Is the AVCHD format in bluray players always linked with HDCP?
Which format would allow me to output HD video on a bluray player without HDCP?

Thanks!
Boris

If it helps...
AFAIK that's the BluRay player enforcing DRM. There is some stand-a-lone hardware that can sometimes output digital without HDCP, but I *think* that route's considered risky because of the way BD players can be upgraded to block such things [from what I've read anyway], & if that happens you're out the cash you spent. Other hardware boxes can take HDMI & output HD via component, & I think I've seen some that'll take component out of your BD player & output HDMI w/out HDCP. If your work will fit on a DVD as DivX/Xvid, & if the player handles it, that can give you HD. And some media boxes I think, with/without hdd should take the same AVCHD from anything USB & output HDMI without HDCP.

When you say you want to output "self generated HD video from a consumer Bluray player" I am not sure how you generated it, but there are other HD formats such as .mkv that aren't HDCP problematic. You could play files like that from a digital media player such as the WDTV or Popcorn Hour Digital Media player via HDMI.

Are you saying you made a Blu-Ray disc from Vegas for example and are running into this problem?

John, you are right.
My first Vegas/DVDA-Bluray formatted DVD plays fine with a HDCP monitor and is not output via HDMI when my HDSDI converter is connected.
It seems that even SD DVDs with my own footage will only bei output via HDMI when HDCP is operation at the output.

Makes no sense for me that you cannot play your own content freely on these players.
