HD rendering in 9.0c + edit bug

Having upgraded from 8.1 and 8.0c 64bit (Win 7) to 9.0c 64bit, two major problems noticed when rendering...
1. Using Mainconcept MP4 and rendering 1920x1080i 50 CBR to any mbit value, only 192,000 is available, other bitrates can be selected but it keeps reverting back to 192,000.
2. When encoding using Sony AVCHD at 16mbit, the render playback shows an effect, after 2 miniutes, similar to dropped frames or the field order being reversed.

For the edit bug, when a 1920 x 1080i 50 event/clip is split (key 's') the audio at the split point is faded down and up again over 1-2 frames. This can also happen when one event is brought next to another event, the video is OK but the audio dips again.

Version 8.x didn't have these problems, so poss. v 9.0c not fully checked?

Has anyone one else experienced these problems?

Cutting digital audio hard will almost certainly result in a glitch or click, unless you were lucky enough to cut in absolute silence or at a zero-cross point in the waveform; therefore a small fade at a cut is pretty well necessary -

If you go to menu |Options|Preferences|Editing Tab there's a parameter called "Quick fade length for audio events (ms):" - here you can set the length of the little fade down to a minimum value of 1ms (but not zero) - try a smaller value there - if set too short you may still hear some bad artifact, too long and you will hear the fade.

You can also manually manipulate the fade time on the audio track itself by zooming in and grabbing and moving the fade start boundary.
