This question isn't specific to VMS, but it is NLE related.

My sound card has a HDMI connector. Does the TV have to be HD to be able to connect to it? My TV is a couple of years old and is digital, but isn't HD.

I found an adapter that is supposed to allow you to connect a HDMI connector to a device with composite audio & video inputs. But all of the reviews on this item says that it doesn't work.

Just wondering if there's another product (not too expensive-under $40) that does this?
