HDR-HC7 to DVD

I just bought HDR-HC7. I didn't have any issues from miniDV to DVD with my old DCR-HC96. But, with 1080i from HC7, I am lost with the setting in Vegas 6.0d. Can some one walk me thru what settings I should use under file- properties? Standard HDV1080i or any custom settings? Also, what settings I should have for rendering to DVDA (mpeg-2)? I am looking to see the video in 16:9 format as shot in HC7.

Basic questions, also covered in the help files and tutorials.
Got to start somewhere's so here is what I do using VMS.
But it's very simple, you have 2 choices, capture in HDV mode & render (down convert) to standard definition video using the predefined dvd templates, then insert the videos into the burning program.

Or, in your cams setup menu put the cam into down convert mode, capture standard dv, render that to a standard defintion mpeg2 dvd compliant video file and insert the videos into the burning program.
