HDTV transport streams

Now that Vegas has HDTV support, are there any plans to add HDTV MPEG transport streams as an output option? This would be a welcome addition in a future update.

Or, are there any affordable means of converting Vegas HDTV MPEG program streams to transport streams via 3rd party apps?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

i can't comment on future plans of SoFo .. But you can get transport stream multiplexing via a 3rd party app (as i do) here : http://www.lilapple.com/

Thanks for the tip BJ_M. I'll definitely give 'em a jingle.

The Transmux-er at pixeltools.com seems like the most reasonable solution I've run across so far. But it's a stretch for my meager budget. If there are other alternatives I'm all ears.

hmm = transmux is CHEAP compared to the solution i gave you ... a cheaper (cheapest) way to go is to use wobble mpegvcr , which i believe can mux transport streams (i think)

just checked and im not sure mpegvcr can handle ac3 , so transmux or the solution i sent you are maybe your only choices (right now) ... its not a cheap thing to do really - the full version of manzinita is about 3500$ , single stream version is about 1/2 that ....

there maybe another transport stream multiplexer around (w/ support for ac3)- i just dont know of any ..

Understood. Manzanita looks like a pretty nice product as well. And Wobble's another possibility I'm investigating. A simple, no frills I/O utility to translate Vegas program streams to an HDTV transport stream would probably suffice for my purposes.
