Hello All:
I am using SVMS Platinum 9.0b. My question is about HDV capture. I cannot remember if I've asked this question in the past. My apologies if this is a repeat . . .
I can succesfully capture HDV from my camcorder, but I don't have a way to specify how long to capture. So I set the camcorder up to capture, then I wander around for a while and check back every so often. Often I don't come back in time and I end up capturing some excess footage from a previous shoot. When I am working with the footage I delete the excess, but it would be really nice to be able to specify a capture of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. Roxio had this feature and it was really cool (it was the ONLY cool feature in Roxio, by the way).
I've noticed in the "Clip Edit" tab of the Capture docking window there is an option to specify timecode in/out and length (presumably for the video capture), but on my screen this option is greyed out and I cannot access it. Are any other users who are able to specify their capture length using this or any other capture feature?
Kim
