HDV capture window obscured in VP8

When I connect my V1 in HDV mode (i.e. downconvert=off and using internal capture app), the capture window does open, but behind other application windows (I can see it in this narrow horizontal slot between the timeline window and the rest of areas). How can I bring it forward?

I reinstalled VP8 and the Capture window reappeared! I closed it and re-arranged the layout; than defined it and saved. Next time I launched VP8 and clicked Capture, the window displayed underneath again!. So I reinstalled again, but this time I opened the Capture window, docked it, and only then saved the layout with the Capture window opened. Now it's always available!

I've seen this too. Next time, just restart Vegas while holding the SHIFT key. No need to re-install.

Starting Vegas with CTRL+SHIFT pressed will do away with all your customizations, so I think the method I described is bettter: just remember to have the capture window open when saving your layout.
