HDV crash issue

ALright looking for some insight on a crash issue Im still having.
This is happening when prerendering either M2t or CFDI's
It happens consistantly and just started aftyer install of 7.c Cineform 3.3, as well as a windows update to make sure I was compliant with all nesc windows files before installing 7.c and CF 3.3

same error every time :
the instruction at " 0x7c901010" refered memory at "0xle4ca63c" the memory could not be "read"

the error is always the same except the locations or whatever they are in " " may change.
I have tried
1)removing checking cleaning my ram modules.
2)Uninstall and reinstall both Vegas and Connect HD
3) uninstall 7.c and reinstall Vegas 7.b and no connect HD
Deleting all SMS software and reinstalling vegas 7.b

problem still exists, where is it lurking? Cold it be Hardware? Funny thing is I had just finished a HDV project right before the update installs and NEVER had this issue.

Yes I will be turning in request to tech support but that wont do any good till after the holiday so I am asking here fisrt in case any of you good people have some ideas or clues..

Ohh and I also asked Santa for a fix too so we'll see what i get in my stocking tonight ; )

One other thing I forgat to mention is it will render to a new track HDV fine......Go figure

After thinking all was now well with my system I rendered a 1080x720P to.m2t and got the exact same thing you got. I defragged memory and retried and it rendered to 18% then hung.

Just did a system restore to the day before 7.c was released and tested . No crash. that eliminates hardware pretty much . going to creat a restore point then reinstall .7c then test , then install Connect Hd 3.3 and test .
Will update shortly.

I was having a kind of similar problem, Cineform was making Vegas 7c very unstable. Random crashes, etc. Talked to Cineform and they said to uninstall Vegas and Connect HD, and then go through and nuke every left over folder that says Connect HD or Cineform in the program directory, system 32 and the registry.

Have not had time to test thoroughly but it seems to have worked.

Well.....All went well, reinstalled 7.c tested the prerender no crash.

And crash! again but a different error this one I was able to copy the error mesage:

I did the clean 7c and 3.3 install on a NEW FORMATTED system and I still got the crash when trying to render to .m2t. ALSO the crash damages the Vegas installation. After the crash Vegas has the "blacked-out transport bar" - remember that problem reported before? ************** (:- Here is a maybe?? After the Vegas install I also installed Nero7. Anyone had conflicts with this? I'm uninstalling Nero and restoring to before Nero to see what it does.

Me too!
I have the most recent versions of Connect HD 3.3.0 and V7c and new Canon HV10 camera.
First few captures went OK, except took forever to convert

Then, HD Link started to stop unexpectedly in middle of capture. I would start again and it would stop again. It also did not break down into clips as before. Next day would not capture at all, just got endless error reports.

SO, I used Vegas to capture m2ts and edited OK (like the much faster previews, yes!)
Meanwhile, did all the usual "housecleaning" anti-everything checked....

Finally uninstalled and reinstalled ConnectHD and could capture/convert normally, worked fine....

But, could not really edit because now V7c started to crash all night long....hard, freeze up crashes (even task mgr. froze up) other times while playing back preview whole program just disappeared, no sign of Vegas at all! Lost my veg data too
Rebooted several times, no improvement, still unstable and crashing. This hasn't happened before with my Vegas, so now I've got the footage captured but can't do much!

Is it version 7C that's the problem?
