Hi!

Is Vegas 5.0 ready to edit HDV vídeo format in 1080i?

It's possible to view an HDV vídeo on a HDTV 1080i compatible vídeo monitor like WEGAS from sony using the HDR-FX1 camcaorder to convert?

It's possible to edit/ready to edit, whether you want it to be an intermediary stream like the Cineform, or if you want to drop the files directly on the timeline.
I don't know about the external via the FX1, but you can view it on an LCD monitor at that resolution, no sweat. This is where the Triple Head comes in sweet. I've only got mine set to 1600 though, and only have limited HDV footage from the JVC at this point in time.
