HDV Import - Scene transitions not smooth

When I use Vegas Movie Studio to import HDV from my Canon HV20 (using firewire), I notice the scene transitions aren't very smooth. It looks like there is a slight delay and as it switches from one scene to the next.

If I import with HDVsplit, and them drag all the m2t files into vegas, everything is ok.

Anybody else experience this. Do most people just use hdvsplit to import hdv?

Vegas has a bug in the way it splits scenes if you use Vegas to capture: it includes some frames from the next scene in it. Maybe that's the bug you're seeing. HDVSplit doesn't have this bug, but if you're using Vegas 8 or earlier, Vegas can crash with HDVSplit's m2t files. Newer Vegas versions are ok with it.
