Does anyone have any ideas on why my HDV source files (.mt2) stutter when I play them in trimmer, but play perfectly when the same clip is dropped on the timeline? Are the trimmer and timeline using different playback engines?

I'm running V8.0b on a Q6600 system with 3gb ram and a 500gb hd.
