One has to admit that Zippy was just as persistent and incoherent in his posts as well. With Zippy, he was always touting Final Cut Pro. Lots of similarities between the two posters.

Actually I think Zippy was less of a pain and at least his rants had something to do with Vegas.

Just to keep being fair, Zippy has been well behaved on the DMN for several months, and hasn't been using caps for a while. Frankly though, even Zippy didn't have as bad a need for attention as this HDV dink. What else makes it tough with this guy is that his screen name is a trademark as well, and it makes it difficult to have an intelligent conversation about the format without confusing some folks into thinking that we're talking about him or vice-versa.
Zippy is occasionally entertaining and often backwards in his information. This guy obfuscates issues, and makes ridiculous claims that those less knowledgeable have already found themselves taken in by. (and foolishly believed or accepted) Worse, his angst against Barry Green and anyone who doesn't jump on his platform with the same amount of mis-placed passion becomes a target of his vitriol. What's very telling, is he's not had the integrity to post anything that supports his WAGs, so while he might *sound* like he's got a modicum of intelligence, anyone can read a book and post what he's posting vs actual experience.
Oh yeah, I forgot he's experienced, he bragged in another thread how all the starlets in the movie industry can't keep their hands off of him.

Zippy is a borderline genius compared to this ladies man.

Nope, Zippy is still using Vegas, although many of his posts of late have been about supporting hardware on the DMN. I could be wrong, but I kinda think I'd be able to recognize the rhythm of the language if Zippy were HDV.
It's been surprising to see how long Zippy's been pretty well behaved. Kinda proud of him, actually.
