I have a video clip of myself moving across a background I put in using chroma key. In my clip, the top portion of my head and my lower legs do not show up. I've tried fooling around with all of the adjustments, but to no avail. What might I be doing wrong?
MusicVid - Lighting is not an issue here. It almost seems as if the green screen clip is not as high as the background picture that I am using. Unless I am overlooking something pretty simple (which is possible), I've tried adjusting the height, width, etc. in both clips, but no success.
D7K - Yes, I've looked at that, but will try again. I may just have to re-shoot my green screen shot although everything was within the frame of the camera when I did the shot.
Roberto 65 - you will find some great tutorials on YouTube. That's where I found my information on setting up lights and then just fooling around with the setup yourself.
Roberto,
Basic lighting procedure is the same as for stills. Spot-meter and adjust lighting until it is the same over the whole background. The more accurate you are, the less trouble you will have in post.
snow,
Your main video track and replacement background must be in the same aspect. If not, use Event Pan/Crop to "Match Output Aspect" which will crop to fill, or unselect the Event "Maintain Aspect Ratio" switch, which will stretch to fill.
No head or legs? Sounds like you don't have your project properties set to your green screen footage. Have you used the 'Match Media Settings' button first? Then do as Musicvid said and match the background image to the output aspect ratio. Cin
Thanks Musicvid.
Now I have figured out the real problem in my home: the available space... to set up the green screen + lights + cameras at a proper distance... I would need a 10mtx10mt room.... :-|
