Hear sounds as they are recorded on timeline

I have been able to record directly to an audio track from the timeline. Is it possible to hear the sounds as it's being recorded & if so how?

Sure is, you can even hear them with FXs applied.
I think you need ASIO drivers to do it, well that's the only setup I've done it with. When you've armed the track for record you can right click one of the icons (sorry don't have it in front of me) in the track header and enable record monitoring. I'm sure it's in the manual.

You also assign the output device / channel.
