HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never had any problems with DVDA until recently.
I have just completed a wedding video and it's about 2 hours 7 minutes long. As I have done for the last few years, I render the file to an AVI and than use it inside the DVDA. Everytime I burn a DVD the operation times out during the burning of lead out. The message I get is:
'SFMMCX'-(17)
'atapi'-(1)
-'_NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A 10GE'-(0)
Module mmc.cpp Line 1262

Status: 00000000
Command:
Sense: 00 00 00
Info: 00 00 00 00
Specific: 00 00 00
Extra:

I know this might be pointing to the DVD drive itself but here is a twist. This happenes on one particular project only. I have other projects I've done, projects of same length and they burn just fine, but this one for some reason refuses. Help folks, what gives?????
This is what I tried so far:
1 I tried rendering directly to mpeg2 and audio to AC3 and than using it in DVDA
2.I rerendered the project and tried the new file
3. I moved the whole project to another drive and rerendered everything to the new drive
4.I prayed a lot and drank heavily
5 I upgraded the firmware on the DVD drive
6. I bought another drive (external SONY which after loading it into the system actually started crashing Vegas)

Anyone? SONY?

Out of curiosity, if you total up the file sizes of all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder, how large are they?

Have you tried some other burning software to see if it also has problems, such as Nero or CopyToDVD (you can pick up a fully functional trial version of CopyToDVD)?

While you say you have other projects of similar length that burned fine, have you tried actually re-burning one of those other projects now that you are having this problem? Maybe your burner is DOA.

Hi Scott
Yep, the other projects I actually took care of the other projects to give myself a distraction from the "problem". One DVD after another came out with no problem.
The total size of the files is under 4 gigs and the only thing I haven't tried was other software, partially because when I did load Nero, it started crashing my Vegas. I guess I will have to try this option regardless.
Any other ideas?

I've not tried Nero with Vegas, and really can't think of any reason why it would impact Vegas. However, CopyToDVD and Vegas/DVDA all co-exist on my laptop without problem - so you might give the trial version a try: http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/vso/

Thanks again Scott. I downloaded, installed, and made an attemp with CopyToDVD. Unfortunately, I had to leave for my full time job about seven minutes prior to completion so I won't know the results until I get home.
I will post the results later.

Good news Scott. Your suggestion to use copyToDVD worked. I still don't know what happened but for now I have this nightmare behind me.
Thanks a million man.
