After 3 days y decline... working with HDV (jvc hd10 camcorder) the sold me Vegas as the "perfect" solucion....well it`s a fantastic programm but: importing one hour of HDV ( mpeg) in 168 files of aprox 50 mega each Vegas only reconises 140 (aprox 5 gig), after that all the rest stays offline, and there seems no way around not even with another PC ( i tried on both) ( AMD 3 M+xp home+1 gig ram + sata raid) the mpeg developper is main concept from germany. Ii downloaded a demo of their cheap 70 $ editing programm EVE . ...and : it is able to capurte directly from the JVC hd-10 while a 700$ program cant do that job. It is also capable of loading all 168 files to the bin. i don`t understand what is wrong in Vegas5 that it is not capable of loading these files into the bin . Running the windows administrator it stopps loading at 350mega aprox.and all the rest stays offline.
PLEASE! Can anybody help me?
Thanks

Can you load the files to the timeline without importing them to the media bin first?
I've only got limited MPEG file amounts, certainly not 168 files.... I've only got about 50 HDV clips, and as I mentioned earlier, I can't get more than 5 gig to load either. I don't think it's the number of clips, I think it's related to the overall size. I *CAN* load all my clips to the timeline without using the media bin. I just grabbed em' all and threw them up there at once.
