I don't own a lot of gear---two modest camcorders, a still camera, a few mics and filters----but I've purchased all my stuff through B & H.
Never any problems or hassles.
You might be tempted to save money by shopping elsewhere, and maybe you CAN save money; but for me it's always B & H. Any money I might save ain't worth the worry and possible hassles (and I am NOT a guy with much money, so it's not as if I can casually spend more without thinking about it.)
You didn't ask, but if I may offer a bit of advice: also purchase an extended warranty. Nothing like having a camera go bad right after the factory warranty expires.
B & H told me that Beach camera was gonna bait and switch me, and that there's no way that they can sell a camera for that price, we won't match it. I said, OK - I'm not stupid, if they bait and switch me I'll come to you, if they don't you just lost $3K.
BH lost 3K and more business in the future, I don't have any desire to have my sales people lie to me. I may buy some from them in the future, but I got kind of fed up with them telling me that other companies that sold for less than them were going to bait and switch me, when there were no problems at all.
I know it sounds dumb, and it is, I almost resent B&H for being the Wal Mart of the pro audio/video world. Don't get me wrong, I've purchased tons of stuff from them, I mean PLENTY, but I'm one to try to find some other places and give them business once and awhile.
